April 24th 7:30PM - Authors at the Fauchere



The Montague Association for the Restoration of Community History {MARCH} will host Chris Farlekas, contributing columnist for the Times Herald Record and freelance writer, on Thurs. evening, April 24th ,  at 7:30pm at the Foster-Armstrong House. The site is located at 320 River Rd. - CR 521 in Montague.

Mr. Farlekas will regale listeners with stories and personal insights about "Authors at the Fauchere". He has had the unique privilege of lunching or dining there in the past with varied authors, who discussed or read their works to him. He intends to include reflections upon: Judith Merril, a key female figure central to the American science fiction scene throughout the 1950s and 60s; Richard McKenna, whose best known work is The Sand Pebbles; and Thomas Wolfe, a great classic American author. He will also read excerpts of their writings.

Doors will open at 7pm for light refreshments prior to the program. No admission charged – donations welcomed, open to all. Please arrive early to assure seating.
