M.A.R.C.H. is the non-profit historical society for Montague Township.  Its volunteers currently help maintain and open two historic sites.

Formed in 1979, this non-profit corporation was organized under the following objectives:

* To discover and preserve the area’s history, environment and architecture.

* To educate the public and to foster an appreciation of our unique local heritage.

* To establish and maintain historic homes, buildings, exhibits and land leased or owned by M.A.R.C.H.

* To discover, procure, and preserve writings, journals, maps, etc. which shed light on the history of this area.

* To engage in fundraising activities and accept donations to help further our cause.

The Society presently has long-term leases on two sites from the Dept. of the Interior which are part of the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area and administered by the National Park Service - with its local headquarters are in Bushkill, PA
